I don’t need surgery now!

I have been suffering for over a year from achilles tendonitis and several other foot problems in both of my feet. Doctors and physical therapists have been unable to improve my situation and alleviate the pain. My doctor said that if my achilles tendon flexibility did not improve, I would need surgery to lengthen the tendons. After using acupuncture to solve other ailments of mine, Jeanette used acupuncture and several other healing techniques to increase the flexibility in my achilles tendons and feet. As a result, my doctor is pleased with my progress and says I no longer need surgery! Jeanette also gave me exercises to do at home to improve my flexibility and they have helped significantly. She has a wealth of knowledge and is dedicated to helping her clients. Jeanette is now my “go to person” for any physical problem I have!

I quit smoking after 20 years!!!

My reason to decide to really quit smoking was after a 2nd family member got lung cancer.. I tried to quit and failed and tried to reduce the amount, with some success, but continued to smoke daily. I came to the wellness studio to treat a kink in my neck and a sore lower back. After an extended consultation with Jeanette, she said she may be able to help with the smoking habit. I agreed to try it. I had a nice acupuncture appt. Later that night I lit a cigarette and it just was not as “enjoyable”. This of course is my personal opinion on how it worked for me. Smoking still tasted and felt the same for the most part, but I was very much more aware of the unhealthy affects it has, like I was breathing in noxious air into my lungs, which I was! Something like trying to get away from inhaling exhaust from a bus. After 3 of 4 sessions, I am smoke free, the kink in my neck is gone, and my lower back feels much better. i am also benefiting from some “common sense” type solutions to some minor complaints I had. These solutions surfaced after the excellent thorough consultation with Jeanette.

Acupuncture helps neck pain

Whenever I’m in Chicago, I make it a point to see Jeanette for acupuncture sessions.

Jeanette helped relieve my headaches and the pain in my neck. After my first session, I felt as if I have a new neck. It was like I came out a different person and the best thing is that the effect doesn’t go for a while.

Food allergies relieved with Neuro Modulation Technique

Hives all over the body, on the sole of my feet, swollen puffy eyes, and difficulties in breathing are just some of the complications that I suffer when I ingest any food considered as allergen. Food as common and supposedly harmless as lettuce, watermelon or just a bit of corn (found in chips, thickened sauces, in soup, etc.) can cause a series of allergic reaction in my body.

A few sessions with Jeanette had minimized all these symptoms to an ignorable level. The mode of treatment has a tinge of peculiarity in it, especially because it can be done over the phone. But it did me so much good and makes my life more normal. No longer do I have to be so edgy about what I eat, and I hardly suffer from the discomforts of allergic reaction after eating.

NMT helps to relieve pain from a pinched nerve

Pinched nerve

Last September Jeanette was instrumental in relieving pain from my 37 year old developmentally challenged daughter Sara. For months, Sara had been dealing with a pinched nerve in her neck. Even after two visits to the emergency room, massage and a variety of medications, she still wasn’t getting relief. Because Sara functions at a 3-year old level, her expressive language skills are limited. All she could say was, “Mommy, it hurt me.” and cry. After talking to my friend she suggested calling Jeanette to see if she could help. I was willing to do about anything. I was in Florida and Jeanette in Chicago.

The telephone conversation/treatment on Friday lasted about 1 1/2 hours. Sara was not on the phone or even in the same room. On Saturday morning she awoke and pronounced, “All gone, no hurt anymore.” What a beautiful sound! Throughout the day I asked if her neck hurt, and her response was “No, all gone.” I called Jeanette on Sunday to share the success.

This was my first experience with NMT. I don’t know how it works, nor could I explain it, but I do believe it helped Sara and will call on Jeanette again when I need her.

Digestion problems resolved with NMT

During the past five years, my search for personal health stumbled into some nagging areas where mainstream medicine could only shrug its shoulders.

My insomnia and indigestion, no doubt brought on by stress, were not really treatable within the Western medical model (for which I still have great respect).

Jeanette Shuler’s treatments using NMT helped my conditions significantly. Other treatments had failed over a period of years, but my sessions with Jeanette seemed to work quickly and reliably.

I can’t explain it, but I’ll gladly take the results.

Food allergies and adrenal fatigue

When I first started going to Jeanette I had several problems for her to tackle. First, I have suffered from migraine headaches for over 20 years and have gone to specialists who have explained that all they can find is an allergy to MSG, natural flavoring and preservatives. I tried to modify my diet, but many products do not really give all the ingredients so it was hit and miss. Then I started with Jeanette and within about one month I started feeling relief and only an occasional migraine. Then as the treatments progressed I had fewer migraines, until now they are almost totally gone. Now I can call Jeanette and she can work with me over the phone to relieve the migraine so it will disappear quickly.

The next challenge is that I have developed moderate adrenal fatigue. I have been working with specialists on this for several years and do not like the hormone pill option or the side effects from them. So I discontinued treatment. Jeanette has help keep this under control and when I am stressed and feeling fatigued I call Jeanette and she helps me work through it over the phone.

I do not like taking medications for problems and if there is an alternative to medication
I research it and give it a try.

Jeanette’s treatments using NMT have been more successful than any of the other options and I am very happy and satisfied and will continue to work with her.

Jeanette helped to get rid of my migraine

I had my very first severe migraine and Jeanette was able to relieve the pain by using NMT. At first, I’ll admit that I was a little skeptical but as Jeanette went on with the treatment, the aches got less and seemed to move from the front of my head to the back. Before I knew it, I had this warm sensation and it was gone! Thank YOU Jeanette!

Sasha Hanning was my massage therapist before she left for Chicago. I usually had weekly sessions with her. I found her to be a very conscientious and talented therapist- with great understanding and knowledge of the body. Unlike many body workers, she was able to be very present with your needs of that day rather than assuming it was always the same. She is able to work with many modalities and has a wonderful ability to combine the best of different systems. It was a real loss to me (and her San Diego clients) when she left for Chicago. I can highly recommend her – you lucky people!
